what is the best one-handed weapon?
i keep searching for the best one-handed weapon and i cant really find one better than the Daedric longsword. can someone please tell me a better one i can find, and where to find it plz!!!

The Umbra isn't that great. You don't want to capture a soul every time you kill something. It's best used sparingly

Yeah and I believe you need to be level 20 to activate the Daedric Shrine quest. I generally use the Honorblade of Chorrol, it's a great sword and as it's a quest item it's weightless. To get it you need to do the "Separated at Birth" quest (to activate just visit Chorral and listen to NPC rumors) then do the "Legacy Lost" quest. Then about 2 days after completing the previous quest, visit Chorral to activate the "Sins of the Father". You should be approached by a Dark Elf, if not just enter the Oak and Crosier and initiate the conversation yourself. This may seem like a lot of work but it doesn't take long, and its worth the effort.

Daedric armor and weaponry can be found literally everywhere after you level up above 20. there's even a woman who's wearing a full set of Daedric armor and carying a shield and sword... but all of that doesn't even show up until after level 20.

Honestly, I've used the same Silver Longsword from level 1 and I'm a 12 right now. I JUST sold it and found out I needed it. Since I had it with me from the beginning it leveled up with me so that was cool. But I don't know if I go buy it again. It's a simple weapon but honestly works great in conjuction with destruction magic.

You might want to get a better longsword since you are at a higher level now. If you find a dwarven longsword or elven longsword, then get those instead.

i generally enchant my own weapons but the honorblade of chorrol is a pretty good sword to get by with.
