Attributes question?

hey guys, just want to ask,in terms of attributes (strength, wisdom etc.),did i get this right, the maximum level would be 100 only? because the attributes that i spent all my 3 points whenever i level up had reached 100,and then when I leveled up again,i can't add points anymore.

so does that mean i cant increase my attributes more than a 100,aside from drinking potions or from enchanted armor or weapons. im confused because there are a lot of high magicka spells that i cant use because of i cant increase my intelligence.

if thats the case, would you guys suggest the ways to increase my attributes,if there are permanent methods and temporary ones.

thanks,any help is appreciated!

yes 100 is the maximum for an attribute, but you can increase them with potion/enchantments etc. To use the high level spells, you need more Magicka, which iirc, increases as you level up. You can also enchant items with fortify Magicka (which is expensive) which will help you with those high end spells.

Keep in mind that if you have an attribute that's 70, but then use an item that has 30+ boost, then you can't gain any more levels for that attribute. If you have 90 skill for an attribute, then when you put on that 30+ item, then you'll have 120 or somewhere over 100.

what do mean mean increase when i level up?when i level up,eventhough i cant increase my intelligence, the magicka will increase? i just want to increase my magicka because of the high level spells, and so far my magicka is at 200. so if i level up,the magicka will also increase even if i have reached my maximum intelligence?

sorry i'm just confused.thanks!

I dont think your magicka increases when you level-up without increasing your intelligence. What does happen is that when you increase you illusion, mysticism, conjuration etc.. the magicka cost to use a spell decreases ergo you don't need to increase your total magicka in order to cast high level spells

Yeah, as you gain more skill points for your various magic skills like destruction or conjuration, it takes less magic to cast spells in those areas. Now, you do have quite a low magicka amount for being maxed out on some of your attributes. Have you beaten the main quest yet? And have you finished the Mage's guild questline yet? And what level are you? If you are at a high enough level (like level 20+), then:
1.
I'd suggest that you comb oblivion gates for the +50 magicka sigil stones and enchant your items with them to give you a magicka boost. Just keep looking for them. I don't know which gates give you which sigil stone, but just keep finding them and closing the gates and getting the stones.

2. If you haven't finished the mage's guild questline, then when you get that mission where you retrieve the Necromancer's amulet, after you get the amulet, then don't finish the quest. At like level 25+, I think the amulet gives you +130 magicka boost. The offset is that it sucks away your strength, so you might have to search for a +50 strength sigil stone in oblivion.

Those are two methods for some big magicka boosts.

oh,i see when i increase levels on my magic skills, the magicka cost of spells go down,i didn't know that.I'm level 30 already and i was able to get in the arcane university and enchant my armor with magicka boosts.although its only 13+ magcika increase.so far so good.i believe the magicka cost for the spells already went down,i was able to use high magicka spells, its just that i didin't know about that.

i haven't beaten the main quest,i'm just taking my time in side quests and exploring.anyway, thanks for the suggestions and advice,il get into more oblivion gates then.thanks guys!

Keep in mind that enchanting your armor with soul gems (always use grand soul gems or black soul gems to get maximum effect!) for magicka will not get you as much magicka as if you get a +50 magicka sigil stone from Oblivion.

And also I did what you did too by doing the main quest last. I did every other questline and side quest (well almost all of them) before I finished the Main quest.
