Game of the Year Edition Disc 2, can you share it?

I have the Game of the Year Edition, it comes with a second disc containing the 2 expansion packs. You install the expansions and never have to touch the second disc again, they run off of the hard drive. I was wanting to lend the 2nd disc to my mate so he can install the expansion packs. Can the installed expansions be used with an ordinary copy of Oblivion? In theory it should work but I wouldn't be surprised if there was a code or something only present in the GOTY version of the game.

I believe it works with any copy of the original oblivion game but I have never tested and therefore I could be wrong. But I am pretty sure. You should try it and post what happens.

Yes you can share it I let one of my friends borrow it so he can do the shivering isle quests.

Is that 100% for sure, as I have a mate with it, but has not installed it yet due to the lack of a hard drive. He is a bit anxious of letting me borrow it before he installs it in case he cannot use it.

Cool I will lend him it next week, I will post next Wednesday with an update (he's going down to York for a paintball tournament I think).

Yes that is 100% sure I have let two friends borrow it and it worked just fine.

Hey I know this thread has been inactive for some months now but I have a question. If my friend got all the expansions off of the Marketplace and I recovered his gamertag, would I be able to download the expansions onto my hard drive?
