Orange Box- The most underrated game ever?? - Page 3

I'm pretty sure CS won't be in it, i reckon if the orange box is sucessful they'll release it as a download or a seperate game, its that popular. I can only hope for Half Life 2 DM, but i doubt it'll be in the orange box, maybe released as a future download if all goes well?

The only games coming in it are HL2, Episode 1, Episode 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2. Hopefully they make a port for CS:Source sometime.

when CS was released on the xbox it was allowed to die a death with no more than 2 further maps released as downloadable content, it just didnt sell because of the lack of a single player game. If it was to be released it would have to be as additional game rather than a stand alone game.

Can somebody please explain what all of these different little games in this orange box means? I've never heard of any of this stuff before this orange box and I'm just wondering what the 5 seperate games in this thing are. Thanks.

the only reason im not getting orange box is because i dont understand what any of the gamrs are

Half Life 2 = The 2nd in the Half Life series, the main game in The Orange Box

Episode 1 = An expansion to Half Life 2

Team Fortress 2 - A team based multiplayer game with cartoonish graphics

Portals - A new game by Valve. It's a platform type game where you can use "portals" to complete puzzles, get past enemies, etc.

Actually, Narbacular Drop was developed by students as a project, then Valve employed them and brought about the idea of Portal while they were part of the team (they didnt come up with the 'Portal' story by themselves, they did introduce the idea though).

For the people who haven't played Half-Life. Half-Life is the game every Developer is trying to make...You can see Half-Life influences in every FPS you have played since 98. Every one.

It is a benchmark setting game that is not matched.

Watch the videos...But with watching the videos look at the gameplay. I remember when I first saw the 30 minute demo video of HL2 I was enamored buy the gameplay...since it's been mocked but not matched.

My only complaint is that part two didn't end...witch is being fixed with the expansions, hopefully 3 comes out soon I want to 'Finish the Fight'.
