Here's a PC vs. 360 article from Games Radar:
Quote:
Above: Both Alyx's look great in this first comparison, but look closely and you can just see that the colours are slightly less vibrant on Xbox 360.
It's not really noticable while playing, though. Our only concern was that, in situations where you can see great distances, far away textures on Xbox 360 tend to look a little grubbier than on PC.

Above: Team Fortress 2 is a game ruled by colour. Its lurid, cartoon style looks certainly have less of an impact on Xbox 360, although once again it's not jarringly clear while playing. Still, at this point PC is still the superior version visually, just thanks to its brighter and stronger colour palette.

Above: While these shots aren't perfectly lined up, Portal is another game that suffers from Xbox 360's slightly grubby colours. Peer at the character in each shot and you'll also notice that the textures on PC are noticably smoother - something that also comes across in Xbox 360's version of Half-Life 2.
Overall, then, PC takes the lead in the visuals department. But, then, our PC (an Alienware) does cost more than three Xbox 360's. That said, Valve has managed to bring Half-Life 2's engaging atmosphere to consoles, if you can overlook the odd grubby colour or smudged texture.

I can't imagine play TF2 on PC with 32 players...that would be to much going on for those maps.

People tell me the graphics look dated, but nothing to really worry about. Too bad I can't give you me experience, I have yet to purchase the OJ box yet.

having played HL2 episode 1 on both an extremely high end gaming PC and the 360, i have to say that the difference in image quality is pretty small (PC is higher res), but there is a HUGE difference in frame rate. the PC i was using was probably running at well over 150fps, and it makes a huge difference. if anything makes me regret getting the 360 version instead of just playing it on my gf's PC it is the frame rate.
then again i wanted to be able to play it whenever i want without having to ask permission to use someone's PC, so yeah. =P i'll get my own gaming PC some day...

Ugh. Any framerate over 80 F.P.S. will not look any different. The human eye's "framerate" is about 74 F.P.S. Plus it doesn't even matter that the game was playing at 150 F.P.S. All you are going to see is what the monitor puts out.

i know... i was just pointing out how insanely powerful the PC is. still... the 360 runs at 30 fps, right? the difference between 80 and 30 fps is huge, and when you have a hyper-sensitive gaming mouse you can enjoy the framerate that much more.

I doubt it is 30 fps. My laptop can play source at 30 fps and this looks way better than that. I do agree that a gaming computer would look a hell of a lot better.

150FPS?!?! You must have a monster PC!
Oh and semi-off topic... but has anyone gone back and played Halo 3 after playing a lot of Orange Box (specifically TF2) and felt like Halo 3 was running at a much slower framerate? I didn't even notice it at first, but when I went back to Halo 3 it felt like the framerate was chugging. After several games I got used to it and didn't even notice it again though...
