I went to take advantage of the Toysrus deal {buy 2 get 1}Thursday...There wasn't a Toysrus in Michigan that had any copies left, I called all of them! Then I figure O'well I'll just order it off line from the website, but guess what...it was sold out at the website also!!!
Then I went to Wallmart and Blockbuster by my house, both were sold out.
I ended up getting it at Meier, so good times.
As for yours it could of been stolen....or it was a Toy's r' us copy. Everyone who took advantage of that deal, probably bought Orange box also.
So... do you like the game?
Every time I go to play the wife wants to play Marvel Alliance. So far I've got about 2 hours in, it's still the HL I love. And fro the record the graphics are not an updated xbox port, they look good.
With my headphones this game is even better then when I played it before.

i like it so much that i bought the game even though i've already played HL2 and episode 1, and i'm looking forward to playing all the way through both of them again.
although i did cheat and played the first 20 minutes or so of episode 2. it is sooo hard to force myself to play them in sequence... but i'm determined to do it that way.
when i played HL2 before it was on xbox so the 360 version is amazing. when i played episode 1 it was on a gaming PC, but still, the 360 version is pretty damn close.

I went to Besy Buy today and there weren't any on the shelves. I was afraid I would have to drive to EB or Gamestop. Luckily I asked and they had it in one of the cupboards at the end of the isle. I finished portal in probably 3 hours. The ending was a struggle for me.

I plan on playing it in order also, though I do want to peek into the next chapters, I'm not sure where I want to fit Portal in at, I think I might play it when I get home.
That’s the great thing about this package is there is so much stuff to do, that’s quality, what to do first.
I haven't even thought about playing TF2 yet.

portal doesn't have anything to do with the half-life storyline, except that it takes place within the half-life universe. but it's really separate, so you should play it whenever... it won't interfere with your HL2 experience at all. if anything it's a nice change of pace.
from my 20 minute impression episode 2 seems amazing. i might end up giving in and playing it before completing HL2 and episode 1. i mean, it's said to be the BEST HL2 installment so far, and i haven't played it yet! i can't wait.

don't be. ebay has a review system which works wonderfully. find a seller who has sold thousands of items and has 99.8% positive reviews... you can't go wrong. and in the unlikely event something does go wrong paypal and ebay are pretty good about settling disputes and getting you your money back. but the review system keeps sellers on their toes and chances are they will want to make you happy rather than risk negative feedback.
if you buy from someone who has only a few reviews or has less than 98% positive feedback, do so at your own risk. otherwise there's nothing to worry about.

I'm not afraid of buying games off eBay, as long as they're not used. Buying COD2 off eBay wasen't a good experience for me. I was told that the disc was going to be near perfect condition. When I got it, it came in a CD case and had a large circular scratch on it.

yeah only buy new. there are always tons of people selling new copies. an exception might be someone with a REALLY good reputation who swears in the ad that there are no scratches... because if there are any scratches you can win a dispute against them for false claims in the ad. but it's much easier to just get a new one.
hell, a used copy of orange box will still probably cost $50, and i got a new one for that price.
