was that update supposed to fix TF2 connectivity issues?

i downloaded an update the first time i played the game, but i lost the connection to 3 games in a row!

it was fine when i played late last night... but today i just couldn't connect to a game for more than 2-3 minutes. i've read other people complaining about the same thing, so wtf? are they still supposed to be releasing a patch still?

i was just starting to get into the game, but if it's going to be like this half the time i will just stick to portal and half-life.

everytime i lost the connection... it was cuz the host dropped the game, and half the time after that... the game freezes

I got the update as soon as I put my game in today. If that sounds retarded it's because I just got the game today. I'm gonna try out TF2 right now.

it did say "lost connection with host" each time... but what are the chances that the host just happened to quit every time i joined a game? i think there's something else going on here. these were active games with no less than 8 people playing... unless there's just a plague of shitty hosts.

there may also be a problem of a lot of people playing for the first time just to try it out, not really knowing what they're doing. i'll admit i'm new to TF and i had to read up on some stuff online before i knew how to play. when i was playing this one kid just kept talking about the blood, "what the hell there's like hardly any blood in this game! oh wait, there was some blood. c'mon i wanna see the blood effects again!".

i wish they did let you play with bots, even retarded bots, just to keep people like that off multiplayer. =P

play with a friend who you know can host good games thats what i do...... havnt had one loss connection yet
