I just want some new maps and the new weapons, that is it. It shouldnt be that hard to Port for Valve.

I could see having an update that changes controls a bit harder to port since the PC and Xbox use different controls, but adding new weapons wont change from PC to Xbox to PS3. It is the same interface.

We are being ripped off. I want the Ubersaw now!

sadly valve has stated that there are issues with releasing the contend on xbox live.

I read this awhile ago on the valve forum posted by one of the devs...it was something like "their little fixes are too small in size so they need to compile them all together and push out as a game update", and "the new maps updates are too big and msoft class them as downloadable content and thus they would charge for it, and valve dont like doing that"

To be honest i have this game on pc and xbox, and the new maps are so big that only having 8 players on each side makes the levels kinda pointless i feel.
best bet if u like this game is to buy it from steam as its got a huge community and is only like £12.

Haha...£12....then like £400 so i can get a new PC! I bought a brand new Mac like 4 months ago, so it would be really hard for me to dump a lot of cash into upgrading my piece-o-shit computer just to play some games on Steam.

that sucks

im kind of done with pc gaming, i need the space on my pc more for music because i only have a 40gb harddrive and i only have like 2gb left haha i did used to play css but i always had to play small matches cuz my pc can hardly keep up

i much prefer console gaming, i have about 25 360 games now.. loads to play, and dont have to worry bout the console crashing as much as pc gaming either

point taken about the new pc also needed..
i tried tf2 on the following: all low settings
p4 3.2ghz
1gb ddr ram
512mb nvidia 6800 overclocked.
25 fps in 32 man battles, 30 to 60 fps during small fights.
main issue is cpu bottleneck as valve games can be processor intensive.

new work laptop, duel core intel 2.4ghz,2gb ram, 256mb nvidia quadro
40 to 100 fps on high settings.

so find urself an IT job then play on work equipment lol

Yes is sucks but think about the PS3 players....they have no hope of updates cause EA says we didnt make it, and valve say we didnt make it, so they aint getting anywhere...
as a 360 owner u may need to pay for the new maps but there is still a chance you will get them.
Shame they didnt invest in dedicated servers so xbox gamers could join 32 man matches rather than be stuck on 16 man games with hosts on shitty broadband lines.
I use to be a pc gamer but moved into console stuff when my pc needed replacing, now that i have a new lappy i remember how i love dedi servers!

Speaking to Shacknews at last week's EA Spring Showcase, Valve Software marketing director Doug Lombardi addressed the state of downloadable content for Team Fortress 2 on consoles.

"We're looking at bringing the Goldrush and the new achievements and stuff out to the 360," Lombardi said. Valve internally developed the PC and 360 versions of TF2, with the PS3 edition outsourced to EA UK.

"How and when is still sort of being determined, on pricing and that kind of stuff. On the PC it's sort of wide open, you can release stuff whenever you want. On the console there's a little bit more of a pathway."

Since its release last October, Valve has supplied the PC version of Team Fortress 2 with two major updates. As of yet, no content updates have been provided for the console versions of the title.

"What we've been waiting for is until we had a critical mass of new content to put out," Lombardi added. "So we feel like we're kind of there now. We'll probably be making some announcements pretty soon on what will happen with the 360 stuff. I don't know that--unfortunately I don't know that any of that will make it to the PS3."

its a few months old but you know valve, they say an update or a game is coming, then it can take up to a year for anything to happen!
