When the game was first released, it was a very easy game to pick up for the first time and play, because not many people were used to the classes/maps.

But I agree that now to enjoy the game, you have to know the classes and maps well.

You can keep enjoying your PC version of TF2.

I much prefer playing it on a HD 37" TV with Surround sound, than on a tiny PC monitor

There isn't a choice really

X2. I don't much care for PC games. The only games I have on my computer are a few ROMS and the original Metal Gear Solid (not the NES version, the PS1 version)

When I first played TF2 the thing that put me off was I kept getting ahnialated by Spies and turrets. It takes a while to get used to the fact that anone could be an enemy. Just keep playing, as the only way to learn is through experience, it will pay off in the end.

Anyway, it took a while, but once you know the classes strengths and weaknesses, maps, shortcuts, good sentry spots and how to avoid cheap tactics it really does start to shine. Its probably one of my fave games right now.

So im just saying, dont give up on it.

The game is incredibly balanced which makes it better than most. Every class can be countered by another class, which means you have to work together to achieve something, which is very fun. However most of the time you get cunts who dont know how to play so just run around as a scout the whole match yelling into the mic, or people who just dont talk at all and go for as many kills as possible, which means its not fun at all

The best matches are where you have a full team of 8, with no lag and all with mics, and relatively decent people. This means you can all talk to each other about the game and actually use the classes in the way they were supposed to, so scouts can rush the base and alert others of sentries etc, so the heavier classes like soldiers and heavies can take them out.

However this is incredibly rare, which is a shame because back in the day you used to have decent games like this quite a lot, but now you just get a load of bellends who spawn camp, glitch the game to shit by walking on the sky and generally just not making it fun.
