Underrated games: I must confess, that I absolutely loved Day of the Tentacle, Sam and Max and the Monkey Island series. The games were just
fun. They're not all about the "omg l33t grphics!!1", they're about fun and being funny.
Day of the Tentacle was about a purple tentacle who tried to take over the world. Simple plot, yes. But, it was just funny, puzzling and god-like.
Sam and Max... Do I really need to explain why this rocks?
Monkey Island had monkeys. The later version had Monkey Combat. Evil Pirate LeChuck! INSULT SWORDFIGHTING! Must I go on?
Also,
Manic Mansion. That. Game. Ruled. It even had cheesy music, it rocked that much. With 4 players to choose between, there were some parts that you had to work together in order not to get caught. There was even a dungeon in there if you got captured! If you ever want any good advice, buy Day of the Tentacle. Manic Mansion is inbuilt into the game.
While I'm on the subject, Full Throttle and Dig. Two good games, especially Full Throttle. It was a bit short, but it had a few hard bits in it.
Now, I seem to have gone off on one about the old games...

Overrated would have to be something like Halo and GTA 3 (And sequels). Halo was, and still is, an extremely good first person shooter, but it's not "teh bst gme evah". GTA 3 series was just stupid and based on "omg ppl lke klling lts mke hos nd shootas!!!" and it was that, 3 times over.
That's my post!
