I think my Laptop can run this but another game, I doubt I can get it but it should run on my specs:
Vista Home premium
1280 x 800
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 ghz
2 gb ram
Nvidia Geforce 8400m GS.

I think it's gonna have a DX9 mode, which will drop some of the visual and physics effects like COD2 had, so it will play better on older machines.

My card is directX 10, but it can play it right, probably on Medium I think.

would my graphix card run this its a nvidia geforce go 7900 gtx 512mb card , core duo 1.83 ghz , 2 gb ram(soon), windows xp ... ( i can upgrade to vista if i need to)

Here are the specs you need to run it, seems I can run it. 
Minimum Specs:
* CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3000+/Intel Pentium 4 2.8GHz;
* GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 6600 / ATI Radeon X800GTO (SM 2.0);
* RAM: 768MB/1GB on Windows Vista;
* HDD: 6GB;
* Internet: 256k+;
* Optical Drive: DVD;
* Software: DirectX 9.0c with Windows XP.
Recommended Specs:
* CPU: Dual-core processor (Athlon X2/Pentium D/Core 2 Duo);

No, because it is a duo core anyways and the specs say dual core. I don't understand how people say my laptop can't run it good with my graphics card, the card is brand new and so is the laptop, if I ever get the game. But it seems you should be alright.

It would be a core 2 duo, the core duo don't exist.
You may have a Centrino Duo, which is the same thing, but with Intel Wifi as well.
