Call of Duty 4 PC Demo Now Available

That’s right, it’s here. If you’ve been waiting for the Call of Duty 4 Demo to finally make its way to PC, your wait is now officially ended. The upcoming Infinity Ward foray into modern combat is now available on FileFront.
In case you’re wondering if your PC can handle the beta, we’ve provided a handy list of the minimum and recommended specs below.
Recommended Specs
CPU: 2.4 GHz dual core or better is recommended
RAM: 1GB for XP; 2GB for Vista is recommended
Harddrive: 8GB of free hard drive space
Video card: 3.0 Shader Support recommended. Nvidia Geforce 7800 or better or ATI Radeon X1800 or better
Required (minimum) Specs
CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 2.4 GHz or AMD(R) Athlon(TM) 64 2800+ processor or any 1.8Ghz Dual Core Processor or better supported
RAM: 512MB RAM (768MB for Windows Vista)
Harddrive: 8GB of free hard drive space
Video card (generic): NVIDIA(R) Geforce(TM) 6600 or better or ATI(R) Radeon(R) 9800Pro or better
The specs really aren’t all that bad, considering what the game looks like. Plus, you get to try it out without those pesky analog sticks.

Hmm maybe I should try this out on my laptop so I know whether or not UT 3 will run well since these requirements seem higher then UT 3.

DK do you like the sound of UT3? :P i get the feeling you do, you will find out tomorrow, but its a beta so its probably going to run worse.
The guys at Epic are really good at optimization, the past games ran on some pretty crappy machines.

Yeah well I have UT 2004 love that game. I heard about this demo is out tomorrow hopefully it comes out.

Well I haven't played the game in a while. I have it on my home old pc. My laptop can run ut 3 i think low - medium it seems but idk about gaming on a laptop.

get the bioshock demo, it runs on the UT3 engine.
If that runs, UT3 will run.

I ran that system requirements software thing on my laptop and the bar was between min and rec for bioshock and those specs are higher then ut 3.
