Original Xbox RROD

i have an original xbox and it has the red ring of death. it gives me something like "your xbox needs servicing please contact the xbox help hotline" and it gives me a 16 at the top left corner of the screen. i took it apart and it seemed all fine. i have no idea on what to do to find out how to fix it. im alot better with 360, i know how to find out wat the prob is for that but not regular xbox. im about to google it(shoulda done that first) but if anyone has any info on this please help me!!

EDIT: google sucks the pinto, i couldnt get anything from that except to call the hotline.

I have no IDea except to either call MS or go buy a used one.They are only like $60 now used and you can get a warranty as well

or just save up your money and buy a 360 pro

Just buy another one used, it'll be easier then dealing with microsoft

i have a 360... i dont necessarily need the regular xbox. i just wanted to fix it so i could have one. im not going to buy one. i just want to see if theres a way to fix it.
