Counter-Strike 1.6 Resolution

I recently switched to an HDTV and counter-strike doesn't allow the current resolution I have [1280 x 768]. Is there a way to make it use my resolution? Like force my resolution on the game? [I've tried Set Launch Options and the config in the cs folder].

Are you sure its not 1366x768 or 1280x720? Some plasma HDTVs are 1024x768 but that's a different story....

1280x720 @ 60Hz a usable option?

That is the native res for 720P.

Keep in mind that some TVs can only do certain resolutions on certain inputs. It's a fucking night mare to figure out what does what. On some TVs HDMI can run higher than VGA.

1280 x 720 is a useable option, but whenever my TV uses it, the tv says 'No Signal'.

Means the resolution selected is too high, so the TV drops it.

Start at 640x480 and work you way up.

Make sure that the refresh rate is set to 60Hz, most older LCD TVs can't handle any higher.
