Cars Missing From Online Multiplayer

heya. i need to know if anyone can explain why i see people online racing in cars like the mitsubishi FQ400 and it isnt there in my choice of cars? i figured out for the impreza to win the invitational on career mode but i have bought the FQ400, i have it in career mode and i still cant use it online. any ideas? when i unlocked the impreza any player on my xbox could use it also, with the FQ400 its just not there for anyone. Confusing. Any hints about this or any of the other good cars that you can unlock to play with online?

Does anyone know if i need a certain rank in career or online to race in these cars? still cant figure it out.
