the career mode is just fine. yes it is dumbed down so there is no street racing and it's all super family friendly cause it's all "legal"--which is retarded-it's supposed to be a video game. i don't understand who's great idea it was to make it all super gay and legal, but it is kind of dumb when u compare it to any other video game. what if you only used paintball guns in Halo or Call of Duty? would anyone buy it? no way. but some retard decided that racing games are the heart of all evil and made it safe for all those goofball kids that run out and buy Lamborghini's when they turn 16 and go drag racing in the streets.
that and the fact that online multiplayer is complete garbage and you can't race your buddy in your modified career car are my only complaints.
the game itself is fine. the physics are decent, and the selection of vehicles and mods are not bad. but i can't race my friend in my souped up tuner so what's the point of even having online? so we can compare stats? come on. nobody wants it for that.
totally redesign online so i can easily race my friends in my modified car and i won't have any real complaints. i can live with it being safe and politically correct, but if i can't race my friends then it's crap.

street racing is gash and for complete losers, and it was the downfall of the other need for speed games imo.

With it being more legal racing based around the tuners world it is much better imo, especially being around the car scene myself!

just wish they had kept santa pod 1/4 mile strip in it!

Meh... I wish they stuck with what worked - the design of NFS: Hot Pursuit 2 or NFS: Underground 1. They were great games.

The game is shit. Absolute shit. Just like any other racing game now, street racing is awesome now its so boring. It isn't realistic either it's very arcade

The game would be too repetitive if it carried on another illegal racing themed game.

yeah I usually like the need for speed games but now that I played the demo there is no way I'm getting it. It was horrible and no cops? Cmon thats the whole point of the game. Street Racing! I dont think this even deserved a 7.7 I would give it a 2

I really enjoyed Need For Speed Underground 1 & 2, Most Wanted and Carbon. However, i downloaded the demo for 'Pro street' and turned it off within minutes.

Why mess with such a good formula? I've got Forza 2 and PGR for my circuit races, NFS is/was meant to be the bad boy racing game.

I'm staying well clear of this game - fucking crap.
