Dirt achievement question

I just finished Career mode in dirt.Raced 506.06 miles but it didnt give me the 500 miles milestone achievement.Did i have to do exactly 500 miles to get it?

No, you have to be over 500 miles...but look at the achievement again...there is some caveat to it. You probably have over 500 miles, but not over 500 miles in X mode or whatever it wants. I recall a similar confusion area when I got close to that.

i got the first 2 100 miles and 250 miles but for some reason it wont give me the 500 mile.all it says is in career mode.

You have to cover all 500 miles in career mode, miles covered whilst racing on live do not count. I had to pretty much do career mode twice through to get the 1000 miles achievement.
