Being Elite steals an achievment?
Okay, I was an elite in R6:V, and for that, the game started off calling me a veteran, gave me some XP, and a free helmet.

So, it auto leveled me up, to Private first class, but there is an achievement for getting to private first class, now, I'm not an achievement whore, I'm just pretty pissed off that getting to the best rank in the first game means I get jipped out of one on this game. What the fuck is up with that?

*GREAT* game by the way.

lol that sucks man. I am trying to figure which console to buy this for at the moment. The anchievements seem pretty easy to. Ughhhh which version to buy!

Are you definitely sure about that? If so it's a bit bollocks. I'll delete my Rainbow Vegas save before starting this one then, I guess.

(Or does it go by your *current* rank? I was Elite but reset?)

I'm not 100% sure how it works. I just know that it most certainly steals it from you. The room I'm in there was me, and 2 other Americans who both were elites, and none of us got the achievement.

You are wrong dan, it gave me auto EXP at the start also, enough to get to second private, and I definitely wasn't a elite rank on the first. Far from it..

Well, they're talking about it on other 360 and achievement based forums, so it's obviously a problem not just with Dan. Apparently the XP you get is 2500.

I've done some digging and it isn't down to you being a Ex-elite, it was down to you purely playing RSV1. However, the rumour is a patch has already been announced to fix it.

Apparently it's due to two things:

1/ If you completed Rainbow Six Vegas 1 on realistic.
2/ If you were an Elite.
