Guitar frets

Hi all. I am thinking of buying this game and after examining the guitar on the internet I saw there are frets at the top of the guitar and at the bottom. Does anyone know what the frets at the bottom of the guitar are used for? Many thanks.

The frets at the bottom are used to play solos. You can tap the solo with the bottom frets without strumming the notes. You can also use them while playing normally, but you have to strum the same as you would playing with the normal frets.
