Guitar only for Rock Band?
Just played Rock Band for my first time this week and I really enjoyed it, but I really only see myself playing the guitar or bass and probably would never do the vocals or drums (cause I really sucked at them ). Has anyone else got just the game itself and then bought a guitar controller instead of dropping like $160 on the whole package? Also does it keep you from accessing parts of the career mode if you don't play all of the instruments?
Thanks!

You will want all, the guitar soon gets boring, just buy it all and friends can play with you aswell
And there are different Careers for each Instrument

No, they're two different games.
Also on play.com you can buy the game and the guitar seperate, its honestly not worth it.

Sounds good. Thanks for the input. I did see a couple of the packages that include all of the instruments and games on Ebay for like 100 bucks, maybe I can just get that. Hopefully my wife won't mind me keeping the drums in the closet, haha.

Get the set if you entertain people a lot, or just want the full experience of Rock Band. If you're just going to buy a single guitar, get Guitar Hero, the guitar play is much better and harder.

Yes you can use the GH guitar with Rock Band.
Don't post if you don't know.
