a couple of things.
You can already get loads of people running around like GTA and its online,
no i dont mean Saints Row, i mean GTA San Andreas!.
The PC version has been modded to b online and will soon support 64 players. its called multi-theft auto mod, same as Oblivion so you can get in cars, compete in races, and obviously blow shit up!.
And oblivion supports 16 players through the whole story.
Getting to the main point.
The biggest reason why WoW or other PC MMORPG'S havent been on 360, is because of connectivity issues and lag. Have you played Two Worlds?.
Bassically WoW is run by dedicated servers, servers that just run the game 24hours a day, really fast, excellent connections etc etc.
The problem with 360 is that people have to setup their own servers, so not only do they Host the games, but they are playing it at the same time which = 5x more Connection usage.
Put it this way, the reason why TF2 for 360 is laggy, is because peoples connections cant support 16 players battleing it out, where as a ultra powered server which lies dormant, constantly running the maps for everyone else, can do it with ease.
So imagine 9 million players (going by WoW subcriber figures) logging on, it would melt.
Not only that, but WoW has soo much content that i dont believe they could make it the same for 360 unless they had you download all 10gig of it to your hard-drive, it would be a lesser game, with less features.
Not only that, but their are soo many controls to use on WoW, with a pc its just point ur mouse or press whatever on keyboard, it would be WAY too fiddly, slow, and frustrating on a pad. They would have to release an official MS mouse and keyboard, as the XFPS 360 KB and Mouse adaptor doesnt work very well.
To be honest it would be no fun on a pad anyway.
To the person who said WoW sucks.
Put it this way, if you dont like it fine, but to say it sucks, is a bit silly.
it has more people playing it that any other game in the world, its rakes in more money than any other game in the world, its one of the most social, interactive, and fun games in the world, not to mention one of the biggest in terms of content.
So next time think about how much effort has gone into it.
Some people say its sad that people play WoW but when such a majority do play it, how do you argue with 9 million people?, and does 9 million people playing it make it sad? dont think so.
if u like MMORPG's or want to play one then its not just a game, its an experience, and its worth buying a pc just to play it,
its the best traditional style (medieval) MMO there is,
if u prefer sci-fi MMO's then i would recommend Eve Online.
