Whats the player-limit per server on these games?
Some people think APB is an MMORPG, but with only a 100 player limit per server, it isnt at all.

3 words. Age of Conan. Picture doing a long, wide roll of the joystick for a power swing of your sword or axe, quick jabs by pressing forward a bunch. Different button combinations and sequences cast spells and abilities. Time hitting the X button to parry. WoW is retarded because it is almost entirely gear dependent (& on your PC system) and only slightly skill based. Most MMOs are. Personally I don't have the time to invest in endless dungeon raids for one stupid item that only means I play way too much. I am hoping Age of Conan and Huxley will balance this a bit better, not giving those with no social lives a clear upper hand in combat.
2 MMOs coming out for 360 (sometime...) Both look excellent, and are based on some amazing literature.

Seriously, I'm reminded of a good old game called Meridian 59. THEE original MMO, before EQ and UO. That game was amazing. Smaller player communities of 50-150 players, politics, guild wars, sieging guild halls, message boards, alliances, gambling, chess, big on pvp... and best of all items and equipment were much better balanced. Only a few different types of weapons with varying strengths/weaknesses, qualities and magical abilities:
Mace
Short Sword
Hammer
Axe
Long Sword
Mystic Sword
Scimitar
Bow
Sword of the Hunter
Oblivion reminds of that game being a "first person rpg"... Some good and strange times long past...
I think one of the reasons I remember it so well was because of its smallness in nature. Being in a guild war with someone... You could have enemies for weeks. Personal encounters with people you'd remember... Zakarum. Nagash. MORTAL ENEMIES. KILL ON SIGHT, KoS. I was once ordered by my guild master to kill someone cold bloodedly and was not allowed to ask why. I did it. Loyalty. We were at war.

rpgs should be gear dependant lol. or should gear be for.. looks? and wow is very skill based, get a 2000+ arena team and tell me it didnt take skill =p
or go give a few coordinated attempts at Kaelthas and tell me about skill =p
yes i love wow, not as much as EQ though. blizzard bred a monster and drug a bunch of immature moronic children into a genre that was pretty damn "elite" for lack of a better word.
/advocate for 18+ requirement on mmos' that ought to atleast weed "some" of the down syndrom maniacs out.
/flamesuit on becuase the internet drama nazis will now post that im prejiduce against minors because I didnt state that some pre 18 year olds are in fact mature granted by the general chat channel in WoW for example, it is by far the minority =)
