Didn't there used to be a way to read the different books that you pick up at the Heroes Guild (and wherever else you get books)?

I could've sworn you could read them. Otherwise, why pick them up?

I was thinking it might have been the white or black button on the original XBox remote, but on the 360 those buttons are gone and the bumpers (or any other buttons) don't seem to open the books.

remember the black and white buttons have been replaced by RB and LB
i call them R1 and L1 its easier somehow

so try pressing them

You are able to read them by going into the pause menu. Its the 'back' button on the controller. I think there under 'objects' or something. You read by in the same way you'd read a description for a new weapon.
