Are you asking between Eternal Sonata and Blue Dragon?
Think Oblivion and Mass Effect before you even consider getting either of those.
And between the two, I've never played Eternal Sonata but I can tell you Blue Dragon struggled to keep me hooked past the first disc (there's 4), now it's just collecting dust. And I'm a big fan of JRPG...

I would say Blue Dragon (3 disks, not 4) is a good rpg but I am on the final disk now and a tad bored of the fact there is not much in the way of a story.
It is just like an episode of DBZ, a bad guy and a loose story to explain why he needs to be killed.

I am on the final disc of Blue Dragon as well and I still feel like it was a great game, not one of the best but great. I have been on a xbox break for 48 hours now, I do that from time to time to keep it fun but soon as I get back on I am beating that last disc so I can move on to another game. Maybe I'll finish beating Eternal Sonata next.

Eternal Sonata is easily up there with Oblivion and Mass Effect, which is kinda tough as the other two are English RPGs. But yeah its probably the best game no one played. I was waiting for Blue dragon for so long and it was such a disappointment.

I can relate to your dissapointement, since the game is not that BIG of a game, like it was announced.
And the other hand, why is Eternal Sonata so good ? or why does it seem ?
Is it : -Graphic
-Storyline
-Gameplay
Tell us more thru your post guys, lots of people come here has a reference ! :P

I am currently on Disk 1 of blue dragon and I am enjoying it.
I have Oblivion and have yet to start it, so I cannot comment on it, but I have finished Morrowind and logged about 300+ hours on it, and from what I hear Oblivion is every bit as good.

I just finished Blue Dragon
And am very dissapointed. The ending has nothing interesting.
And all the ranking system was half done... nothing comes up after level 32 ish and you can keep lvl rank till 65 and more..
I don't get it

I haven't played Blue Dragon, but it came down to either Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata and I got Eternal Sonata and I think it is a good game. Good, unique style of gameplay. I would recommend it to RPG lovers.
