Why Do People Like RPG's??
Correct me if im wrong but when I think of role playing I think of nerds paying 100 points for a magic wand in a fairy kingdom, I mean what appeals to you guys?? Isnt the fighting like old school pokemon where you tell it what to do then there a cut scene of the move? Basically I want to understand why you guys enjoy it so maybe i'll buy one because honestly I haven't even played one before...

+Gameplay
+Storyline...No other game genre can surpass RPG in storylines.....maybe adventure(Zelda, Okami, etc.)
+Character development.
Its not for everyone but it truly is a great genre of games.

The story in RPG's has always been a key factor for me in a role playing game. But then again, I also like the dungeon crawlers with little to no story. I agree though, a lot of the newer RPG's lack something that the classics had.
