What's with all the first person shooters??
It's really annoying that whenever I read the summary of an upcoming shooting game, I find out that it's first person. Frontlines should've been in third person viewpoint as well as Dark Sector. I just removed these games from my wishlist 'cuz they're FPS. I'm glad that prototype isn't. I'm not really an FPS fan but I got COD4 and Halo 3 and I love them.
So is it just me or do you people think that FPS are a lot?

I think there are way too many FPS's out, but not enough decent ones. I got Bioshock for eth semi RPG element, and I love it. I'm getting COD4 next, but that'll be it FPS wise for me I think.
QUALITY, not QUANTITY.

Third person shooters are harder to make. The developer has to take camera angle into consideration more. Tons of games have been killed by a bad camera that gets stuck. Its much easier to screw up, so most go with the tried and true FPS.

Yeah I agree, but there are quite a few good ones (CoD4, HL2, BioShock, etc.). Im looking forward to picking up Burnout: Paradise so I dont have a collection full of gun games.
