EA charging for weapons in Battlefield BC?
Microtransactions: EA Charging For Bad Company Weapons?
If this is what is to come, I'm a little nervous about the future of gaming. This is what happens when people buy horse armor.

Yes, that is something that I cannot honestly agree with. Seriously, just charge $10 for the game or something....but keeping the playing field level. Oh well, it's the almighty dollar that matters in the end.

I seriously think EA is worse than MS when it comes to this. Just imagine if EA buyouts Take Two, what may happen with GTA It's a good thing TT is waiting for GTAIV releases but still.

If this is anywhere close to being the truth I really hope people don't go for it. Buy the game OK, paying for the weapons is just going to unleash a whole other can of worms on the gaming community. "Oh wait... People are actually buying shit that should be in the game already?! This is going to be GREAT!" I know I won't be getting it if this is the case.

EA has sunk to another low again. EA is a cancer in the gaming industry, my god they're worst then Microsoft. EA buys good companies, ruins them and charges people like crazy to buy another company!
Hate those little money-grabbing suckers, I wish people would start boycotting this game, teach EA a lesson.

Actually I know that a couple of people were, going to have to hunt down the petition. I know I know, they rarely work, but this is for the good of the gaming community. Because if this actually works and they do charge people for guns, whats next? Ammo? Armor? What the hell. A bad sign of things to come if it actually happens. I'm off to look for that site.

Skip the petition...start a campaign to simply not purchase the game. If people continue the buy the games, the developers will continue to make them and continue this trend.
Let your money do the talking...DON'T BUY THE GAME.

The game looks too good to pass up, but I'd never purchase weapons.

the topic title caught my attention. i HATE when companies try to charge people for DLC. i stopped playing halo because i refused to buy the map pack (most of my friends had it, so i couldnt party with them). this made the game usless for me. i hated even thinking about paying $60 of my hard earned money to buy a game, only to have to pay more money for extra content.
DLC should be free. it is just sad that some companies will force gamers to pay to get extra perks, such as weapons or vehicles. whats next, people are going to have to pay extra to access multiplayer or co-op modes?
