I have played both and I found Rainbow Six 2 is much better.
I find Rainbow Six 2 much more interesting and realistic shooting game. I also like it's customisation e.g. your camo and armour, rather than the gun stuff in COD4.
COD4 is more arcade style but still a little bit realistic. I like it's perks though, they are very good and make you want to play the game, but Rainbow has a very similar system.
Personally I think Rainbow Six is much better because people talk to each other more and it is very easy to find the games with the right maps you want to play, unlike on COD4 where the game you join is on a random map, in the game mode you selected.

Ive seen alot of threads on this matter.
I can tell you this much, If you want fast paced nice graphics,Call of duty 4 is your game,If you want a tactical game with charecter customization,Then rainbow six vegas 2 is your game. Really, both these games are fun and great to play,It just soley depends on what you like better,slow paced tactical,or fast paced shoot em up goodness. Both are great just depends on what your looking for.

Good point. I cant stand the slow stuff cuz it gets stressful for me XD
Unless its in outdoor enviroments wich is why i can play GRAW and have fun.

^x2. COD4 is more of a run and gun game now adays, as RB6 is a stealthy swat type of game. I love RB6 for that exact reason.

graphics in RBSLV2 plain SUCK!!! frame rate is HORRIBLE. I bought the game and took it back the next day, not to start another thread on this, cuz there are plenty of threads about it already, but RBSVL1 was waaayyy better then 2.
Id go back to GRAW2 b4 buying that damn game again
