too many?
i think that there are ,not too many because shootes are brilliant but i think that the game developers should focus on something else for a while because there are so many shooters that the racing fans and rpg fans don't get much choice i myself am a shooter guy but i can name 5 shooters that came out recently for the 360 ( 6 months not that recent soz)

frontlines fuel of war
mass effect ?

Whats wrong with shooters? I dont think there can ever be enough fps games.
If people want rpg games they should look to the pc and play wow or guild wars.

I don't think there can be ever too much shooters, as long as they each have their own individual aspect. Like Bioshock is so different to Mass Effect and they are both so different to COD.

I agree with Chelsea lad, if they brought out same corridor shooter one after another with minor changes then there would be to many but most shooters recently have been rather good.

CoD 4 is kinda of a near future prediction. As long as the shooters vary from one another a lot in good ways, then that's fine. But more and more mediocre shooters like Frontlines, Turok, Conflict Denied Ops etc. are coming out.

Well unfortunatley for all of us, FPS is one of the biggest sellers....... I myself prefer FPS simply for the immersivness < don't quote that word, t's mine.
I think if they brought out more rpg's and action adventure ect..... then you'd just complain about that instead?
There'll never be a balance, simply because the games industry changes with the market..

All good points. Most gamers now are fps fans. Thats what the industry is going to make. Its all about the money.

Hmmm... I wana see more RPG too but I want them to be shooters so it be more like a FPS/RPG or TPS/RPG thoughs are always fun! =) hehe
I agree though there can never be too many shooter games they just too addicting and people always switch somethin up to make you go WTF!? or they add some cool weapon which you wish was in another game haha oops.... HACK TIME! lololol
