Rock Band with GH3 guitar.
Hey everyone, I have GH3 and I'm interested in getting Rock Band just for the new songs and all that, but I really don't want to pay 170 or however many dollars it is for it. Do you guys think the game is worth it just to be played with a GH3 guitar and not the drums and microphone?

Yeah but from what I've heard the drums are annoying to use and they cost like 70 bucks.. I'm really just into playing the guitar anyway. I think I'll just go with the GH3 guitar.

At least get the drums if nothing else. Then if you play with a friend hope fully they have another guitar so you can play guitar, bass, and drums.

I love playing just the guitar on Rock Band, especially on Live in Tug of War mode. The Rock Band guitar is great, but because it comes wired (unless you buy an extra, not even sure if it's out yet?) but I play with my GH3 guitar too. I have the bundle but everything else just sits in my livingroom getting dusty. Drums are awesome but a bit loud (there are ways to quiet them but whatever).
Long story short, if you love Guitar Hero, get Rock Band. Who cares if you are using the other peripherals?

Don't get rockband if you don't want the drums. They're the best part of the game.

That is a fucking lie!
Me and My friends rock out to rockband every week and we all have "our" instrument. I bought the game and alot of dlc and I never even play the drums I have played them like twice. I'm the guitarist and I love this game. But if you were to say you need the drums to have a good time with this game I would agree I don't really find this game fun without the whole band there. But one things for sure when those drums finally break which I'm sure they will I'm not the one who is gonna be buying the replacement set.  |
