And this update wasn't useless.
It added animated themes, an icon for and a more optimised BBC iPlayer, a ticker in the corner with information about msgs/friends, the ability for developers to separate regular from DLC trophies, the "What's New?" section and probably some other things I can't remember right now.

No, it's not. It added the what's new thing that is kinda helpful. It made the notification area better, it added dynamic themes (well it added the functionality now we just need someone to make some...).

The update is live. Not a huge update but I like the photo browser better now and the ability to change our color on our gamer card.
Sony is also in talks of bringing Firefox to the PS3. That will be very nice.

As a fan of firefox for years now i would just love to see it brought to ps3.

I hope to god its true. Speaking of the web browser, there's another feature that came with 3.10.
I was on the web browser and it froze on me, when i turned on the PS3, there was a message saying the PS3 had detected the console didn't shut off properly and asked me wether or not i wanted to report it to Sony.
That's pretty nice.
