Killzone 2 delayed until next year

From the start of the PlayStation 3 hype drumming, Killzone 2 has been a marquee title that Sony consistantly hits on as the next big shooter franchise. But as we got more information about Resistance 2, which is also being published by Sony, it looked like two similar games would be playing chicken with each other this holiday season, and one was bound to move out of the way. The smart money was on Killzone 2 stepping aside, as Guerilla Games QA manager Seb Downie warned gamers to take the supposed release target with a grain of salt.

And it turns out, that salt would have been well-applied. As revealed today at the Sony Computer Entertainment Europe PlayStation Day, the anticipated title is now scheduled to ship in February 2009. It's unconfirmed so far if this new release date is only for Europe, where the new date was revealed, or if it's in all territories.
Smart I guess. Resistance 2 will be too much competition for the same genre of shooters for Killzone 2.

To be honest it doesn't suprise me. Im sick of hearing sony's shit. Thats why my ps3 sits there collecting dust and my 360 gets all the gaming. Microsoft is proberly the same, but maybe because i was a massive playstation fan for years, all there bull crap stands out more on me.

What did sony say? That killzone 2 was coming out this year? Games get delayed all the time so what's abnormal or traitorous about that?

proberly because that one of the few game im actually interested in playing on my ps3. I payed $1000 for my PS3, so i want these big games now.

My PS3 will get plenty of attention next month when MGS4 comes out. But for now it will sit here unless someone in my family wants to watch a blu-ray movie.
