so if i just got my 60GB PS3,
I need to install Yellow Dog 5.0 and then go through all these steps you have listed?
where do i find Yellow Dog 5.0? also, what is the "GNOME interface" you said to run?

Thanks for the guide! Encountered a few things not mentioned along the way.
I went through the steps with a fresh install of YDL6.
Some addional packages I needed to install along the way were the GCC compiler and DBus library.
Also, there's a new rpm for blue-utils out that makes the bluetooth section really short. Just need to run it... and that's it.
Unfortunately I can't post links, cause of the 10 post rule. annoying.
Anyway, thanks for putting together this tutorial!
