Exactly Mike... I could never understand the party system on Live... I rarely talk while playing an online game, let alone talking to someone who's not even playing the same game as me

It was just an example that you can have and 8 person chat anywhere, not constricted to one room. But you'd be surprised but I see tons of people on my friends list in big partys and not all of them are playing the same game. I know Andrew and Sam do this all the time. Just saying

It's an inevitability. As soon as an update is announced and the contents of it are reveals, it will always be compared to what the other consoles already have.

To be honest, I am really surprised they still have not added some of the basic things.

I thought Microsoft had some sort of timed rights to the in game chat they use.

Ya I read something a while back that when the 360 came out Microsoft paid for the in game chat feature to be exclusive for a certain amount of years.

Never heard that, but makes sense why Sony is so hush about having that feature.
