Fifa 08 questions

Hi, i got my copy of the game yesterday, but a few things have been bothering me.
First, when you want to type the name of a player in the 'creation zone', nothing happens when you click on "." (period). Is there a way to type "."?

Secondly, also in the 'creation zone', which factor(s) makes your player good at tricks? I've tried putting 'ball control', 'dribbling' and 'reaction' at 100% but still i get a player that can't do a single trick. (Because i must have taken 'skill points' away from the factors that matter when it comes to tricks.)

Third and final, how come the player doesn't always respond to the tricks you're doing with the controller? Hehe, I actually don't think it's because i'm a noob each time it doesn't respond.

U sure ur pressing the LT in when ur moving the analoge??

I think you have to press Y when the player name is highlighted, this takes you into a letter screen and just select. If you look around on your creation zone screen, when the cursor/highlighted area is on the name section there will be an instruction somewhere telling you how to enter the edit screen, i.e. "(Y) Choose Name or (A) Choose Name" or something like that, it should be pretty obvious..

You need to upgrade your player before they can do tricks, or execute the tricks I think. go to manager mode, select a team and put your player in that team, always play them and always upgrade them manually after each game, it takes a while but if you create your player as 16 years of age, by 24 they will be in the 80-90 OVR mark, they'll be doing pretty sweet tricks and ball control by that point.

I dont know about the final one, it could be that one player isn't as good as the other i.e. Ronaldinho compared to a championship league 2 player, Ronaldinho will almost always perform a trick when you hold LT and move the right analog, whereas the crappier player may not. Maybe you're just not moving the analog right, I dont always have my players respond to the trick command but 90% of the time they do.
