Lord of the rings battle for middle earth 2
This is a beast of a game that came out a while ago but is still one of my favourites.
This game is based on the lord of the rings story by j.r.r Tolken.

Is it worth picking it up? I have never played a rts except command and conquer and warcraft 2.

the online (best thing about the game) is dead now, very hard to find a decent game, and when you do there are alot of cheaters about now (via disconnecting) which automaticly adds a win to your history.
Infact, I sold my copy today, it was hard to do, since I loved this game, and perfected my strategy untill I could do it with my eyes closed, but it had to be done.
But the campaign is pretty good, so if you want a good campaign and the occasional online, go for it.

command and Conquer trumps this every time.
LOTRBFME seemed slow and slugish in comparison, its like the system couldn't keep up with what the game wanted to do. drove me up the wall. i did enjoy the charging horses tho lol always made me laugh watching them guys go flying.
but seriously C&C is a lot better thought out

I Think It Depends Coz LOTR BFME Has A Better Story To It Whereas C&C Is Battles ..
I Like The Idea Of Swords && Shields In A RTS Game Rather Than Guns Too Which Is Probably Why I Like LOTR Better ..
I See What Ya Mean Though, LOTR Server Is Shit Nd The Lag Is Unfhuckinbelievable
