I don't mean to sound like a dick {though I know it's coming out that way, I apologize}, but if you don't like DOA or VF {especially VF} then you're just not competitive at it. Fighting games take an extra level of dedication to be good at, I remember when they were huge, fighting games were the 90's {much like FPS are the now}.
Basically I'm defending VF5, if you take the time to get good at it, the games genius opens up to you. That being said, I'm a hypocrite because I haven't bought it yet {I own every one from 1-4evo}...As I've gotten older I find my self just playing games to play them, I haven't bothered to be really good at a game in a long time. I Buy too much and spread myself to thin over the allotted time I have.
Dan, Pez, Kuto…What is a good fighting game to you, what would it have to be to spend, I’ll say 50$ for it. I don’t know how old you guys are but for anybody close to 30 {I’m 27} that have been playing games there whole life SF2 is like Pac-Man or Tetris to us, it is a game that all of us feel we are good at…Just off the head, I have around 7 games with SF characters in it for every system I have.
As for SF4, I'm excited for it, I haven't watched the videos {I'm at work} but I'm confident it will be good, Capcom will come through. Again sorry for coming off as a jerk, I'm just saying that Fighting games are great, when given the time, especially since you don't have to leave the house now.
