VEGAS "my brief review"
I got gears of war on release day and I thought it was "OK" but Im not really into non human shoot em ups, now I just got vegas and man its da bomb, for anyone in the same frame of gamplay as me go for vegas and forget about gears of war.
real weapons not too much sneaking around (as Im not really into that either) human enemies with decent AI, real surroundings.
Graphics are really good some might say not AS good as GOW but it cant be far off.
Now for wet your pants factor I think GOW is more scary, as on one part I jumped so high my pad landed outside my office door, but its vegas hands down for me.
All the above is of course my opinion and just trying to help other gamers in my catagory choose their games, as everyone has told me to buy GOW but Im not overly impressed by it "maybe the only one"

Don't mean to be rude, but this is how reviews should be written:
My Saints Row Review
My Gears Of War Review!
My Rainbow Six Review.

Anyway...For me, I think that both the games are brilliant. It depends what you are into, and this is what this guy is saying. I'm just more open minded about things - And I can enjoy games where I kill aliens, and games where I kill people.

well i think the developers of vegas could have made the textures a bit better than they are... maybe it is just because the levels i played where on terrorist hunt(im guessing these are the same levels as multiplayer games.

I agree that RB6:V is quite amazing, however, after tasting GoW, and watching trailers, whilst playing RB6, I can only think how this feels playing GoW, and when I get it tomorrow, I shall find out.

Try co-op on Live with a couple of friends.
Once you get past the Mexican Streets and get on your way to the casinos - It's brilliant. I only got the game..um..*looks at date*...2 days ago, and I've only just played a bit of co-op today.
I played a bit a few days back and just thought 'Meh', and went back to Gears. But after the session I had today - I think it's a brilliant game.
The co-op session was a much more enjoyable experience than any form of play I've had on Gears so far.

What exactly happens on the Mexican Streets? Is it like the first level of Conflict Desert Storm where your partner was in jail and you alone had to get in there and free him, then after that the co-op really begins? Cause I would hate to go online and be the one stuck in jail, especially if I am playing with idiots.

Mexican Streets was just the same, really.
It was just...Um...A little dull?
You still go around with your team mates, and you go around killing terrorists and getting to a certain place.
It just wasn't as enjoyable as storming into rooms and being flanked in 4 directions by 7 terrorists in the middle of a 6 floor casino in which terrorists repeatedly come out at you and rappel down from the roof just to come and finish the most elite anti-terrorist team in the world.
*ahem*

I heard there was a mission where one person has to save the others, can anyone confirm this?
