But hey! Your choice, Personally I (and half of these people) enjoy the process of ranking up, and becoming a better player in the process. Also, I wouldn't of wasted 42 pounds to cheat.

Maybe he boosts because he likes shooting the desert eagle... or maybe because he wants some pink camo... Why does it matter? Its not like boosting makes your character stronger. All it does is unlock some stuff. I personally don't care to boost because I have the armor, guns and other equipment that I want and I no longer feel the need to play terrorist hunt all day to get my rank up.. You may say it is stupid but it really doesn't affect you at all. (Except for when the host of a room puts all the high ranked people on his team and finds out half way through the match that the players on his team all boosted and really aren't that good.)

if u play co op t hunt on lvu campus then put on realistic and and enemy density on high then thats the fastest way to rank up

I love boosting. I'm awesome at the game and now I have a rank to prove it, i'm gonna rank up to colonel tonight and if anyone wants to join to boost send me a message and a friend request.

I really don't care whether someone boosts or not, ultimately that's their decision - it's their game they paid their money for. It's like in Football Manager for the PC. Some guys like to take rubbish teams to the top 'honestly', whereas others go into the editor and give themselves in excess of £400M in transfer funds. The only time I don't like it is when people deny they're boosting, when it's blatantly obvious they have. I personally wouldn't do it myself, though. BTW, sure you don't get the achievements to boot for say 2nd Lieutenant and Elite?

Yea, you get the achievements but who cares? They aren't doing it for that reason, they are doing it so they can unlock things in the game itself. I don't feel the need to boost, because I actually like being on the underdog team most of the time. I don't want to boost up to the highest levels and then have every kid on live fighting over who's team I am on. I would rather say... "Yeah, Im a lowly master sergeant... put me on the bravo team"

never knew what boosting was before reading through this thread.

if someone wants to boost to get a high rank, all the better for me when i blast them in the teeth with my silenced mark23 then pick up the oh so earned by boosting desert eagle and shoot all their boosting buddies.

i love wastin guys that are so stoked on their rank. what makes people good at the game is practice and reflex time. i could give a shit if you are an elite or sergent...i'ma still cap you in the face then in the ass for boosting.

I want to play with you and sit back and watch you play an Elite one versus one. I have 100% doubt in my mind that you will own him and win the match.

I will be on tonight, lets boost again. Except this time can I make the room cause last time the creator of the match quit too early and I didn't get as much Xp as I wanted.

admittedly i've begun boosting too... i made it legit to the rank of master sergent and almost to the rank after it; now im a first lt i think.

i did some random calculations and yeah it turns out you need about 12 days of SOLID gameplay to hit Elite and that's only if you win EVERY game... odds are you will only win maybe 70% of the games you play maybe a little higher so it would take longer than 12 days of solid playing.

rank in this games means virtually nothing, rank does not determine skill, if anything it merely tells other people that you spend way too much time gaming... if you're "legit"

the devs know about boosting... they fixed one of the faster ways to boost by gimping the xp reward at the end, if it was truly cheating they would have gimped a lot of match types that allow boosting. Boosting is not cheating... it's merely being lazy lol

you can have a guy play constant terrorist hunts for weeks/months on end just to accumulate enough xp to hit Elite status and yet when they play on live sharpshooter matches or any other game type without terrorists odds are they aren't gonna be that great.

personally i'm boosting because i want the custom camo

i don't care about the unlockable weapons such as the raging bull or desert eagle... if i can't use pistols i can't use pistols... if you don't have the skill to use weapons efficiently then unlocking a slightly more powerful gun isn't going to help.

lets be honest... with the way the current weapon system is not many people use the supposedly "uber" weapons they unlock... a lot of people use the MPX type sub machine guns for nearly every game type because they are so over powered

not saying i'm a badass but i played in a room with 3 elites last night and 2 of the matches i had 12+ kills with 3 deaths. more kills and least deaths of everyone in each match.

like i said, it doesn't matter if you are an elite, you can still get shot in the face by a sergent and die just as easy. that little symbol telling you that you're an elite just means you either play a lot or boost to get the cool stuff. fine by me either way. just makes me happy when i shoot an elite in the face.
