I was playing on xbl for an hour and im still the lowest rank possible but the red bars on the bottom next to my rank is filled...does achevements mean anything in the game cause i only played the first mission of R6Vegas so i have 2 achevements right now. So should i finish the game and then play live or what?

you rank up by playing on live..ie if you play sharpshooter games and your on the winning team you get say 566 points and if your on the losing team you get 100 points but it also depends on how many times you die, how many kills you get the number of players in each team, the same goes for sharpshooter and all online games. basically the more you play online and the more games you win the quicker you'll rank up

Boost. It's the quickest way to do it. I admit that I do it, and I can not even being to tell you how many people do it online. My friend does it and was a major within a week of having this game. Because you get 800 points every 20 minutes, 2400 points every hour. I usually start at 11 pm or 12 midnight up until the time I get home from school, which is at 5 pm. Now 11 pm to 5 pm, the next day, is about 18 hours. Do 18 x 2400 and you will get 43200. The highest rank in RB6 is Elite, which requires 675000xp. Divided 675000 by 43200 and you get about 16 days. Meaning by boosting for two weeks, you will be the highest rank in RB6...instead of playing it for months to achieve that rank.

Call me a nOOb but how is it done, I wouldn't do it for the exact same reason Callum said but I'm interested in what it is...

Its called rubberband boosting. Basically setup a private room and have a friend enter. Make it a sharpshooter match. Then take a rubberband and wrap it around the left thumbstick and wrap it under the controller to make your character walk. Now set the room up for a five minute match and to auto start when the match is over. Let the private room run all night long. That is how you rubberband boost. Basically the reason for the rubberband is that if your character sits still for too long the game will recognize this and will not give points to you.

Edit* If you feel the need to bash me for knowing how to rubberband boost, I ask you to meet me online and see how I boost my character. Basically what I do is shoot people in the face until the time runs out... then the game boosts me up.
