Rainbow Six vegas, database in Dante's casino, AI in general
I'm stuck at the part in the theatre in Dante's casino, where your teammate has to hack the terrorist database and you have to protect it and him from an endless stream of terrorists. I've tried everything, smoke, frags, incendiary, LMGs, sinper rifles, everytyhing, but that f***ing database keeps getting destroyed. I would say this is borderline enough for me to stop playing the game altogether. I wouldn't say this is a skill issue, as it's almost 100% AI-dependent. Overall, I'm very disappointed with the AI in Rainbow six vegas. Is there ANY way to actually succeed in defending the database?

yeah there is, try using the machine gun. get the guys on the upper balconies first. then the guys on the bottom.it took me a few tries also but i am sure that you get through it.

yeh its easy really, all ya need to do is go in the bottom part, kill the first 3 - 4 guys on ground floor, run to the stairs on the right shoot the guy or two up their, duck behind the huge ass box throw a grenade behind the wall kills 2 maybe, then pop off any IF any are left, you need to make sure you do the triggers for the AI or they will keep coming.  simple.

yeah i got seriously stuck on this part but ur almost done (on dantes, ur still in for a fucking hard next level) anyway i stood in front of it with a shield and desert eagle and i finally did it

I used smoke and cover...just remember to climb the ladder stage left to advance once you've killed all the terrorists in the auditorium...

I remember this part and yes, smoke gernades are your best friend. Soke the place and use thermal vision.

Just be patient, there are several parts in this game where you will get your arse creamed. But you will be able to do it, try different approaches.  Good luck!
