hi all, only got an xbox the other day but been playing rainbow 6 vegas, think its an amazing game! anyway i need some info about playing online? i had a little go on player matches aswell as ranked matches.

whats the difference? the manual says that when you play ranked matches the xbox matches you up with similar skilled apponents, ( i am obviously the lowest one lol) but when i just played eveyone was a much higher rank! also i kept dying so much as it seems everyone who plays know every little detail about the maps - so obviously they have a huge advantage!

what im after really is a begginners match do these exsist?? i find it unfair that the weakest person could be up agaisnt the strongest person. the game seems proper fun online and i really want to enjoy it but if its always going to be like this i wont bother.

also im in the 'rec' zone but this dosnt seem to make a difference? i checked another persons gamecard thingy and they were pro.

basically what im after is if some could give us a walkthough and explain the ins and outs of it and well, basically gaming online on the 360 as im pretty new to online gaming.

i know its alot to ask but i would really appriciate it as i wanna have fun with it

oh and also just tired to play in a match but it said that i couldnt because i needed to dowload content - but i have downloaded the red and black map packs? (do i need to authorise these or somthing?)

p.s just played a 'player match' aswell and everyone was the same rank as me which was great! wish that you could choose this as an option though

Ranked matches are purely for more of a challenge and to make your mark on the leader board!
Being recreational also has no effect and as for a beginners zone, there is sadly no such thing.
It might be worth doing coop online or terrorsit hunt and trying to meet players that way mate

this game has been out for some time my friend and we have been playing it for ages, there is no real beginners all you can do is practice

ok the ranked thing makes sense now, they really shouldn't write in the manual then that playing a ranked match will pair you up to people with similuar skill if this isnt true

does you guys know why it says i need to download content then when i already have downloaded bothe red and black maps??

also another quick question, on some matches it sounds like someone is fireing a machine gun that never ends?? and it sounds like its phazing aswell?? it also happens with the helecopter sound aswell? why does it do this for ?

the sounds you here is just a sound glitch on the game and im afraid it just happens some times like when the game lags!

As for the walkthrough u need to get yourself in some games with friendly peopel who are prepared to give you guidence there are enough of them around just trying to find them is the hard bit (i should know im elite and i got there by learning the ropes at some point)
