I take it you have to work up a player from the grass roots to Wimbledon champion right? What else comes with it though, can you decide how your character looks? Can you be sponsered and wear Nike shoes, for example? Is it repetitive? Is there training in between tourny's? Is there a time limit before you retire?

You get to create a character then start him at the very bottom of amateur. Win a few matches and a tourney (or 2) and you get to join the Juniors Tournament. That's where I am so far. No training between tourneys but, the Top Spin school is very indepth. Not sure about Sponsors but, there is a mall to buy clothes. My guys is kitted out Nadal style in all white Nike. They also have Adidas and some others. Hopefully more opens up once I pass the Jr. Tour but, not sure. It's repetitive but, hard enough that it doesn't bother me. Like, it's super hard to me. But, this is the first Top Spin I've played.

Cool, cheers. Did you play the demo? I thought it was shit hard then, I suppose if I get it I'd just have to be patient and wait for me to get used to it.

Nah, didn't play the demo. There's like 5 levels though, I have it on Easy (there's also Very Easy). It does take a bit to get used to, and is crazy frustrating. One of the guys I played in a Semi kept rushing the net and volleying, like for every ball. I got so pissed about it!!! I mean, who the eff plays like that?!!?

Ah, I knew I had another question. Are each opponents game style different? Ie, do some always run to the net, others stay at baseline, others mix etc?

Yeah, it's very mixed up. They all have different attribute levels. Some can serve great and have lots of power but no stamina. Some can volley amazingly but, are weak on returns. So, it's not like you're playing the same guy over and over again. Although, on the tour you do come up against the same opponent kinda often. It's to be expected I guess.
As you go you gain XP that you can use for attribute points as well. Kinda cool leveling up and seeing the difference.
