I bought it Yesterday and its the first UT game I have played.

I think its pretty decent - SP isn't great, but thats not what this game is about.

It is just a lot of running and gunning, but I haven't found it to be particularly fast paced at all, its quite comfortable.

I'm playing SP mode on co-op, with the missus, and she's enjoying it too (probably because she hasn't got to worry about anything except shooting the blue guys) so its the sort of game anyone can pick up and play.

I was hoping that when I bought it I would have the online replacement for COD4 that i've been so desperately waiting for (I love COD4, but am ready for something new), but this isn't it - I guess i'll have to wait for GoW2.

UT3 is definitely worth getting if you're a hardcore FPS fan, and even better if you're not, as its so easy to get into and play.

I actually just read an article that said 36-48 maps, plus DLC. If i can find the link again ill post it.

EDIT: This isnt the article i was talking about above, but i just found this one, it says 40 or more maps.
40 (Or More) Maps for Unreal Tournament 3! - This wouldn't by any chance happen to affect Halo 3, now would it...? - Softpedia

40 maps is quite an insane amount for a console game, lets hope it's 40 good ones.

I just went to gamestop and they said its out tommorrow, it SHIPS today. so im pretty bummed. I just preordered it and Gears 2 and i gotta go back tommorrow to pick up UT III
