Kinda like a Mad Max RPG in the future.
Fallout (computer game) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Quote:
Fallout is a computer role-playing game produced by Tim Cain and published by Interplay in 1997. The game has a post-apocalyptic setting in the late 22nd century, though its story and artwork are heavily influenced by the post-World War II nuclear paranoia of the 1950s.
The game is sometimes considered to be an unofficial sequel to Wasteland, but it could not use that title as Electronic Arts held the rights to it, and, except for minor references, the games are set in separate universes. It was also intended to use Steve Jackson Games's GURPS system, but that deal fell through, forcing Black Isle to change the already implemented GURPS system to the internally developed SPECIAL system.
Critically acclaimed, the game inspired a number of sequels and spin-off games, known collectively as the Fallout series.

Fallout 2 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Quote:
|
Fallout 2 is a critically-acclaimed computer role-playing game published by Interplay in 1998. The second game takes place in 2241, 80 years after the first Fallout.[3] It tells the story of the original hero's descendant and his or her quest to save their primitive tribe from starvation by finding an ancient environmental restoration machine known as the "Garden of Eden Creation Kit", or GECK.[4] Although featuring an almost completely new game world, stories, and adventures that are several times larger than its predecessor, the game mechanics from Fallout remain mostly unchanged, with the majority of changes to fix annoying interface issues.

i read that today....200+ endings...i love their explanation on why they have so many....they started with like 12 and just kept coming up with ideas they found exciting....going from the podcast, you can tell Bethesda is really excited about the games they make....i wasn't a huge Oblivion fan, but you can't help but show them love on how much dedication they put into their games

Thats pretty big news, I don't think they want people to play through it 200+ times, I think they want every one to have a different experience, that works for me, she should be pretty great. I wonder how the different endings will play with reviewers....

The developers actually said it would easily be 100+ hours of gameplay if played through properly

Every time I think about this game my heart rate increases and I have a urge to smile. Oblivion was so goddamn fun and addicting and I'm pretty sure Fallout 3 will end up the same way. I simply cannot wait. This game is one of my top 3 most wanted games of this year.

I doubt many people would have played a fallout game. The last one came out over a decade ago. But I heard that you don't need to have played the last two in order to enjoy this one.
