Sounds good, but the worry I have is the members with over 2000 posts will spend more time in there than actually contributing to the forum?

Its really not.

All you have to do is create a new usergroup and base their permissions on members, and then edit member rights in the new forum so that anyone who is not X3F elite or a moderator or an admin wouldn't be allowed. Then set the member usergroup to promote to X3F elite at 2000 posts.

There are two problems with the Elite section. 1. Most people might decide to just stay there as previously mentioned. That would be weak. 2. I really like some of the people who don't have 2000 posts because they spend a lot of time in chit chat or just don't make it here often. Excluding them would suck.

So, that's my piece. Plus, this has been suggested numerous times and denied. The forum is just as good without it.

its a cool idea, but wont work. Imagine it was setup now and we went there, what would we actually do??? Yeah i like chatting to people sometimes, but i can do that anywhere, plus then once ive done that i have to go back to the main lobby, see if theres any news about games (kinda why im here) and then go back and say worthless things to older members.

I would be a little more concerned about pushing for a private section for nude pictures (second thing mentioned on the list). Seems like an odd request for someone who is a member of a gamer site, vetran or not....
