How do you level up?

What I don't get about this ranking system is how to level up? Do you post or do you make more threads? Any help would be appreciated.

Points for thread votes
How many points should be given for votes = 10

Points for replies to own threads
How many points should be given for replies to own threads = .5

Points for thread views
How many points should be given for views on threads = .02

Points for sticky threads
How many points should be given for sticky threads = 50

Points for posts
How many points should be given for post made = 2

Proxy IP Detection/Management (aka 'The Pez Dispenser')
Makes the forum aways use the real ip when a proxy server is detected, the proxy ip is recorded in an extra field but then ignored.

Allows all vBulletin ip based functions, such as ip searching, who's online and ip banning to work correctly.

You can practice this with me. Hit the scale button right next to the button that tells you whether someone is online or not. It's also very close to the "Report Post" button. Try it.
