I feel the same way. No press release needed. A congrats thread (that usually gets pretty long and stays in NEW POSTS for quite some time) is typically enough! LOL

I feel like a banner should be made, the site's name should change to "Newmod{Insert mods name}hereatX3F.com, everyone's sig and avvy should be changed to the banner announcing the new mod, every thread should have the announcement in parentheses after the main thread title, MikeMcD should PM every member, the mod should PM every member, we should receive an email telling us about the promoted mod, we should get naked pics of the mods significant other, the mod should give every member +rep, every member should be automatically added to the new mods XBL, PSN and/or AIM accounts, the mod should make a thread including their fave color, movie, band, SS #, bank account numbers, address and 3 personal references, and then we should have a party where the admins send every member a chocolate cupcake with vanilla frosting and sprinkles. That's pretty much the only way I can see that all the necessary folk will EVER hear about someone becoming a mod.
