Without xbox live games like CoD4 become....worthless, 2 days play and then you've finished it and then its just a coaster. But combine it with xbox live....it becomes one of the best online fps's I've ever seen.

and as for the price, to play hundreds (I assume, and more and more are being brought out every month) of games for £5 a month? thats absolutely great, Hell, I played WoW for over a year at double that and thats only for one game!

If you chose not to buy Xbox live because of Microsoft you're a damn fool and I hope you enjoy finishing all your games in half a week instead of actualy playing them.

Edit: Fighting another human being over a game is alot more exciting and enjoyable than fighting an AI. Until game programming reaches the stage where we can mimic human reactions and responses then things like Xbox live are going to be needed to bring the best out of every game.

But I agree live should be free because it has lag and doesn't have any dedicated servers. I mean look at PSN they have it for free and they probably could charge money to pay off the servers. Microsoft should at least make live cost 20 bucks xD

you're right! the psn sucks compared to xbl, xbl updates stuff all the time, and not with stupid voice changing software... i'd rather pay $50 a year for a good service, most people on psn are little puberty kids using voice changer, and they dont play or dont play the game correctly. hell i'd spend up to $150 a year for xbl vip or something.

Micromoney have to charge for XBL because the system is garbage, they use the money from XBL to repair the systems that get sent back, so actully you're are paying for the cost to repair your own system. Thats the way I see it.

XBL is the only thing going for the 360. For people that dont want to pay for Live, the 360 is basically worthless to them, you cant really anything with it besides play games and DVD, you even have to BUY the HD-DVD, to play HD-DVD's, more money.
