Data Cable from M$
I have a 60GB hardrive which I need to put game saves from my 20Gb hardrive onto. I am told you can get M$ to send you the data cable then you return it. Will I be able to get one even if I only have one xbox as I brought my hardrive off ebay ???

I think the data cable only applied to the elite consoles, theyre cheap to buy off ebay though.

My mate has an elite so I may just use his seriel code or whatever it is. Only the website when you have to fill the form it you have to put a Elite code in and the arcade/pro code in...

Either that or buy a memory card so I think ile just use my mates xbox.
Will the data cable work thought because its a 60GB hardrive ile be putting the game saves ONTO and not the 120GB hardrive?

What's the benefit of using the data transfer kit over a MS Memory card?
Is one better than the other, does all the data transfer with the kit (games, settings, live. etc) and just saved games with the memory card?

Memory card is £18 to buy I think on ebay but £32 in the shop and the data cable can be borrowed of M$ I think :P

Other than price, is there a benefit to use one over the other?
Long story short...I bought the extended warranty from Best Buy for my 20GB, I can now go in say it is broken and get an Elite for free (replacement value is equivalent to the Elite). Thing is, I have to either get another 20GB to turn in so I can keep all my data or get a memory card, save everything on it and tranfer it after. Not sure which I should do.
